Most air brake trucks have 2 valves, usually located on the left firewall though I have seen one with the valves behind the drivers seat. You will find a hot w/ignition term, and one of the other terms hot when applying the brakes. Now, more modern trucks have the trailer brake light operated when the pedal is applied and also when the ignition is on and the brakes set (buttons out). That would be the one to use. Remember, the trailer brake lights must be separate from the turn signals.
