[AT] Black oil after 8hrs in new engine

Really?   I hope that's what it is. I have yet to put new oil in, It calls 
for straight 30-weight, nothing special.  If it had synthetic, am I supposed 
to use just synthetic?

Are you sure it wasn't synthetic?  Some of that starts out that color.
