2 horizontal and 4 vertical do not add up to an inline 6!!!!
Personally I think it is time for you to upgrade to a 4020 diesel, you'll
never look back.

Never been a big fan of the 2 cylinder Deeres under load. Love any four
cylinder tractor that’s screaming for all it worth. But that 6 cylinder in
my old 55 Deere combine is about the smoothest running engine I ever heard.

A week ago, after overcoming the shear pin issues, I finished brush hogging
the orchard meadow with the JD 620 just as daylight was fading, and I found
myself thinking "If there's a nicer sounding tractor than this, I don't know
what it would be." Tonight, now that the ring gear issues have been (at
least temporarily) overcome, I was using the Super M to haul another trailer
load of scrubby trees and honeysuckle cleared from the side of the driveway
back to a big burning pile I'm accumulating. Turning into the clearing
just as daylight was fading, I found myself thinking "If there's a nicer
sounding tractor than this, I don't know what it would be."

Since I'm evidently incapable of deciding whether the 620 or the Super M
sound better, I've come to the inescapable conclusion that I need an Oliver
77.
