What I'm looking at getting rid of now is a mid sized thresher, grain 
binder, corn binder, and a couple of Oliver Superior grain drills. All the 
equipment is operational but the grain binder needs 2 of the canvas repaired 
and the knotter on the corn binder needs tinkering. All are shed kept items 
that I do not want to see go to the scrap yard or become yard ornaments. If 
I can't move the grain drills to a deer hunter for food plots, I'll probably 
cut them up, not that I want to but to get them out of the way, I really 
need shed space.

Years ago I saw potato diggers up at Leinbachs, new and used. They have 
moved from Winston Salem to East Bend I think. I called them looking for a 
corn planter this year and the fellow tells me they pretty much are out of 
the used equipment business, that used to be the largest portion of their 
business. Still might be worth wasting a phone call.

for" things may be of interest to some of us; so share with us when you
decide to downsize.   Also, I am always interested in regional things, which
may be unusual to me but very common for locals.
One of the several things that remain on my wanted list is a potato digger;
for two reasons. Digging potatoes and removing rocks from the tilled area.

Like it or not,  if you acquire a bunch of stuff, you eventually have to get
rid of it. We're beginning to deal with that ourselves. Unfortunately some
of it was hard to find and get operative and will be equally hard to find a
buyer for.

I am still around and read all the ATIS mail. But I am getting ready to
do some serious downsizing. The Farmall 560 diesel has been sold, and I
am trying to get the Farmall Super M ready (the battery is dead, along
with all the Cub batteries and the Farmall 340 battery). I hate to buy a
bunch of batteries, but I can't sell the tractors unless they start and
run. I think I have the 6' flail pull-behind mower sold, and I may be
able to get the Ford 2N out of my neighbor's barn so I can see if the
block is cracked or just the freeze plugs popped. The Ford is the one
with auxiliary transmissions that make it a 10 speed. I think the
International 184 would probably start and run, but it is parked in my
neighbor's bank barn and is blocked in by other machines.

The Case 340 and Ford 860 work fine, and I plan to keep them until the
end, along with the International 240U (for lawn mowing), but everything
else has to go.

Working with only half a brain is tough, but I am stumbling along. The
doctors refuse to tell me how long I have, but I feel OK. So I just take
it one day at a time. I was feeling kind of droopy the last several
weeks, but the nice Spring weather has lifted my spirits.
