As for hauling, have you tried uship.com? I had a 1 ton pickup brought over from New Mexico for less than it would have cost me to retrieve it(about 750 vs. about 900). I used a shipper from uship one time to move family furniture and was pleased again. But because the job required them to load the furniture the cost was less reasonable. But still roughly the same as a hotel and the fuel and I did not have to burn vacation days.

I have sold a few items using them too and the best I can tell the buyer was happy with his/her deal.

I did have one possible eBay purchase that never got decent bids. According to uship there are some areas of the country that are just so far from trucking lanes that getting a bid can be hit or miss.

Be patient too. The initial bids tend to come in high. The guys desperate to not run empty start showing up towards the end of the listing.

So after you make your deal, but before you finalize your own plans, put a load up there and see what you get. Can't hurt.

Good luck!

I have lusted after these things for a long time. Though I am an IH guy to the bone, MF combines were popular around here. The first combine on our farm was a used MF 300 when I Was very small.
