Opps I see you two have already addressed the issue.

Al, I think Cecil Bearden is fairly close to there.
I don't know how far or how busy he is.

Yep, I have another hairbrained scheme:

Through the magic of the internet, I have found a MF 35 self-propelled
combine for sale. It doesn't run but it is reasonably straight and
complete. I have lusted after these things for a long time. Though I am an
IH guy to the bone, MF combines were popular around here. The first combine
on our farm was a used MF 300 when I Was very small.

A MF 35 is like the Farmall Cub or Allis G of SP combines. It's little. And
cute as a button! It'll ride on a "car hauler" trailer and weighs around
4000 lbs.

Problem: I am in eastern NC, about an hour and a half from Wilmington. It's
in Owasso, OK.

So, if the deal should materialize, is there anyone near there that could
take a look for me? Better still, is there anyone that could help me move
it?? I'm not in a hurry. The fact is that hiring a commercial hauler would
cost me way more than the purchase price of the machine.

Any help appreciated! Heck, if you know of a 35 closer to NC, that would be
good too. It would definitely make an interesting project.....

Al
PS I also have my 52R IH pull type bagger combine for sale....
