Very cool stuff, Herb.
I was stationed for several years at Davis-Monthan in the 1990s and remember
the F-16s, among many others, at the boneyard, and I've been to Tyndall and
watched the F-4 drones fly. D-M even had some F-100 drones come in now and
then, probably piloted, operating from China Lake Naval Air Station as I
recall. All had the bright orange tails and wingtips.
Transition to F-16s for that live-fire-training mission was inevitable, but
I still miss the F-4s...
