[AT] OT: Truck USDOT number

I made the mistake of talking to the WSP officer at an antique tractor fair several years ago. He had the usual handouts and a very expensive heavy truck display. When I asked specific questions, I did not get an answer. He finally got tired of me and showed me the reference books he had of regulations. I think there was more there than an encyclopedia, I stated that it appeared the WSP was more interested in revenue than safety and then made a hasty get away. I haven't tried to learn much as the WSP doesn't have any contact numbers for heavy truck questions and are mostly interested in revenue and enforcement. The small truckers and other businesses are slowly being pushed out of business by regulation.
