That is interesting to hear from someone that has actually done it Jim. 
I have never tried it, never needed to. I was looking in the Case hammer 
mill operators manual and see they offered 3 different pulley sizes as 
well as a good selection of screens. Recommendations on screen size for 
various types of feed is listed too.
