You are right Herb. That would have helped. And I could have brought
something back with me when I had to drive home for various saws anyway
if I'd thought of it. When darkness finally arrived I moved the combine
back to the yard and we went to work on it in the shed. Then I found a
big piece of heavy cardboard to throw over the walkers which helped some.
That is one nice feature of the Case IH axial flow combine. No straw
walkers or rear beater .. Unfortunately my axial flow will not handle
flax. Thats why I bought the John Deere. I guess if it only plugs once
every three years I can live with that.
