Charlie;

I use DropBox and like it a lot. I use it for work, tractor pictures
coffee information. I have no complaints.

Any of the group use DropBox? I have it on my
android phone and it sure is handy for storing photos and files
but I haven't really figured it out yet and haven't installed
it on my note book so I can't access it from the computer yet.

Thanks, Dean. While I didn't have nearly the amount of files on Fotki
that you do, it was still upsetting to have them apparently missing. I
will be looking forward to seeing the system back up and fully
operational in the future. The thought of having to start all over again
was truly daunting. Your news takes a load off of (what is left of) my
mind.

In my case, my problem is the result of a seizure, not a stroke. The
difference is that while some damage resulted from an operation to
remove a tumor, everything else is pretty much intact. I can think OK
and get around pretty well, but I have some short term memory problems,
and the doctors tell me that it will be about a year before they will
permit me to drive (even just around the property). Needless to say, I
am arguing with the doctors about driving, but I don't seem to be
getting much in the way of progress on that front - they are afraid that
I will have another seizure while at the wheel and will kill someone. I
do take medication, but that is apparently not enough to make them
happy. I only had one seizure on July 4, but they still aren't convinced
that I won't have another.

I am OK with most of it, but I really would like to get back on the
tractors again - either to operate them around the property or to work
on them. They also won't give me much in the way of predictions as to
how long I will live, so I realize that I have to "thin the herd" and
get rid of most of them so they won't be a burden for my wife when I go
(I haven't counted, but there are at least a dozen out there between my
barn and a neighbor's barn). Some of them work perfectly, while others
are "ran when parked" or "could run if worked on a little".

Which brings me back to where I started - images and descriptions of all
this hardware are posted on my Fotki website, and having that stuff up
there would help to arrange things for sale. <www.fotki.com/mikesloane>
is where the stuff is, but it appears that only about 10 percent of the
material is posted - lots of blank images, etc.
