Ok thanks.   I know that red on the placard means flammable but
didn't know about the lid.  I'm pretty sure I have them clean
but I'm using them on a military base and don't want to get blindsided
by some reg. that I don't know.

     As far as I know, the color of the lid does not mean anything.
