[AT] 318 Float

On the systems I'm used to working with, the only difference in the whole hydraulic circuit is a valve with a different spool in it. Same pump, same cylinders, same routing of the hoses, same valve but with a different spool.

Subject: [AT] 318 Float

Richard,

My understand is that the "real old" JD 318 units produced the first few years do not have float, and later production had the float feature added. I think I have some JD schematics and manuals that show or describe the differences.
I would like to find a way to either upgrade this system, or add a auxiliary float circuit, but need to check cost, availability, etc. if I could find an inexpensive "not as old" donor 318 and change out parts it would be good.
I also need to figure out "float" on my H 1502 Bolens. I have not found a "float" position on the 3 point on it, which limits its usefulness.

Thanks
Dennis
