[AT] Mott flail mower problem

All of the replies so far make good sense.  I am wondering, "Why now?"  It
has stayed in place for years.  I am suspecting a light catch in the
bearing that keeps tugging or impacting the inner bushing, or the bushing
I. D. may be enlarged so it works around on the shoulder or bolt.  ????
