The last Allis G I bought had an 8" extension coupling in front of the trans
casting; served the owner well as he was 6'+.
I removed the coupling, did some plowing, and plan re-installing that
coupling because the right hand lift lever was so close that it was in my
way. May add some kind of step at that time, so hope Dan gets an
informative reply about that step.

It seems to me that the older my Allis G's get the less they want me to
ride on them. I seem to recall at one of the tractor shows someone
tamed them by making a step that comes out farther to the side. I can't
exactly remember where they put it that it doesn't interfere with
anything. Does anyone remember where is was installed or have a photo
of it?
