As I have posted before i am also a fan of the Oliver Row Crop Tractors. I
now have 5 of them. Two Fleetline 77's, One Super 77 (sad but true it needs
a new Final drive case), one Super 88 and one 770. All but the Super 77 are
in regular use, mostly year round.Hopefully I will find a parts tractor soon
for redoing the Super 77. Of the tractors, two are Diesel and the other 3
are Gasoline. They are my favorite cultivating tractors.

p.s. I just bought a second John Deere - a 2012 JD6430 4WD with creeper
nearly identical to my 2008 unit. I got this one because my workers are now
used to the features of the other one! Those 28 forward gears are actually
useful sometimes. The Olivers all are 6F-2R transmissions and they are great
except for REALLY slow or fast operation.

Dean I've always wanted one of those oliver row crops myself.
They make about as sweet running and looking show tractor as there is.

John, those are indeed some good looking beans. Reminds me of my
grandfather's fields in central Indiana when I was a kid.
Spencer, while browsing the comments about John's bean field, I noticed your
icon. Is that an Oliver 77? I've always had the hots for big old rowcrop
tractors in general, and those nice six-cylinder Olivers in particular.

I took a pretty picture of my humble field of soybeans yesterday. They're
about a foot tall and blooming. I uploaded a couple pix to the round the
pot bellied stove area of ATIS.net if anyone's interested. Ground was
worked with a 1066 International; planted with a 1966 930 Case (bought new
by my brother-in-law) pulling a 12' Deere drill. Kinda antiquish, but the
result is still pretty, if I do say so myself.
