Hi Al,
I know what you mean re: holding a 2X2 when shooting a double stack! I was going to sell my M&P .40, but then discovered that I had 1,000 rounds of ammo for it. OH WELL!
Back to your tractor woes, My tractor/engine club also always seemed to want to find a CHEEP fix for the machinery the volunteers use to mow/plow/seed/harvest the 50 acre Show grounds we own and the 10 acres we take care of in order to use it for our fall show. The "crew" always seemed to be spending more time "fixing" equipment instead of taking care of the grounds. That changed about 10 tears ago when several of us got on the Board Of Directors and pointed out the problem time and time again. After a while others started to listen and we now have some new equipment and the older (2N and 8N, and two others of the same vintage) has been pretty well "brought up" to specs. I think that many in the club just didn't know how disappointing it is to expect to mow grass all day and find out that after 30 minutes the tractor stops running!
	Dave
PS, Buy an AR and another 1911--like old tractors and engines, you can NEVER have enough. Also do whatever is necessary to get the tractor running WELL--and LONG!
PPS, Also, always remember, FREE advice is OFTEN worth every penny you pay for it!
