Cecil,
Talk to the General Manager, not the salesman and explain what is 
happening. I never will understand why dealers/salesmen like this will 
screw over one customer in this manner for short term gain, and not 
focus on building a long lasting business relationship.  If I were that 
salesman I would want to make sure  I made it right with you even if I 
lose commission on this sale. I want you to tell your friends, neighbors 
or anyone else that will listen what a great place XYZ Equipment is to 
deal with.  This is another reason I like paying with credit cards. An 
issue like this arises, I call the card company and file a complaint. 
The card company then holds back the money until the dispute is 
resolved, I've done this several times and it works because they are out 
the money.
