It would be fun but not really doable.  Local stores stopped selling 
dynamite many years ago.  When I grew up in Northern Missouri you could 
get dynamite in the local hardware store.  My uncle used it to blast 
tree stumps and I can remember him stopping at a store in town to pick 
up a little extra.
