When you consider that back in the day most things were 6V I guess the Red
tag on
the 12V stuff is sort of a warning to be aware that it's 12V. At least that
is the trick I'm
going to use to try and remember it.

Charlie and any others. All the older generators had tags on them some red
some green. Can any one tell me which is right red 6 volt green 12 volt or
reverse.
