That is why I use the newer Cunifer alloy line now. ( 90%copper 10% nickle )
GREAT stuff to work with, can be used for fuel, oil, brake, air lines. 
Bends and flares like copper but holds up like steel, without the rust.
More money but it is SO much easier to work with and doesn't rust.
