Try Permatex Fuel Line Fitting Sealant:
"Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant"
white tube

" Use on all fuel lines, brake fittings, power steering fittings, fill
plugs and oil sender lines. This is a paste like sealant from Permatex
that is Ethanol E10 compatible. With PTFE (Teflon), it resists
leakage, vibration loosening, moisture, hydraulic fluids and diesel
fuels. It lubricates threads for easy assembly and disassembly and
will not shred or wear like tapes. Parts can be repositioned for up to
24 hours after application. This sealer is suited for temperatures up
to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C). "

about $4 for two tenths of an ounce.
see your local auto store.

I would suggest getting all fuel out and dried up before using this
stuff.

Be *patient* letting it set/dry/cure, warm the parts with a lamp if
it's cold (how many have a heated tractor shop?)

(I can use some on my tractor hydraulic lines, come to think of it.)
