My son and I left the house this morning with a full tank of gas and some empty belly’s. Only real order of business was to go by the FSA office and report my wheat acreage. After that, we went for biscuits, stopped at a couple antique stores, checked out a new hiking trail, stopped to look at a pretty big 150 year old barn at a state historic site, and we went to a local tractor dealer that moves TONS of older, small equipment. It seemed he had about one of everything on the yard. One thing that caught my eye was something that resembled a John Blue tractor, turns out it was a Tuff-Bilt made in Georgia. A little research shows the company is still in business, I believe in Alabama. I’ve never heard of these. It appears well made. This one looks in good shape for its age, but the Tecumseh engine needs work. Anybody looking for an oddball tractor that could be used for gardening with a little work send me an email off-list and I’ll send you the dealers contact info.
