I belong to the "Troybilt" tiller forum, and many members have been
replacing old busted Tecumseh, B&S, and Kohler engines with the HF
engines for several years. Not one person has written to complain that
the engines crapped out. Of course, tilling a garden doesn't usually put
a lot of hours on an engine, so it might take ten yeas of use to kill
the engines. Using the engines for 40 hours a week might be a different
story.

And yes, they are Honda copies, but I understand that Honda outsourced
their product to some Chinese companies and permitted the companies to
produce the engines afterward, as long as they didn't call them "Honda".
So replacement parts for a "Predator" engine might me hard to find, but
could get lucky and find a Honda part that is a direct replacement. On
the other hand, with a "20% off coupon", you can usually buy a
spare/replacement engine for under $100...
