I would slather the whole hinge with anti-seize gease, Joe. That product typically comes with a brush applicator. If you open the door on your tool boxes, you should have access to both sides of the hinge at once so you can coat the whole thing.

Subject: [AT] Tool box hinges

I have underbody tool boxes on my truck. I also live in a northern climate. Anyone have a quick tip to keeping the hinges on the tool boxes functional? I know the more I use them, the less likely they are to seize up, I've tried a few different types of grease with limited success.

The hinges are piano type and don't lube up very well.

Enjoy, Joe
