John I bet those bundles of wheat or oats would sell like hot cakes at a 
church fund raiser in some of those
farmers markets and tourist traps in your area.... and for a whole lot more 
than the grain mill will give you for the grain.

Keep us posted, there has got to be a thresher at the other end of this
thread!

I always enjoyed running our binder. In good wheat we could run 33 bundles a
minute through it--it was a 7 foot IHC. Unfortunately as we were finishing
our last load, one of the slats on a canvas broke and wiped out a couple of
the canvases. That same year the tractor club we were in folded so I haven't
been able to justify buying new canvases just to play with our thresher.

Between you and Dave, I found enough information to guide me through it.  I
believe it is threaded and ready to go.   What am I binding?  Well, I
planted my little bit of oats late and I'm getting around to harvesting it
even later. With the grain being just a hobby, other things take a higher
precidence.  Thanks for your help, gentlemen !!!
