Rick,  I thought of that too but I'm not sure if I could ever get mine to do 
that without major reshaping of the handle end.

If I remember him right he said to put the handle in the small end (hole)
and sink the wedge(s) in the other big hole end.
  Never tried it but makes perfectly good sense to me.
