Subject: [AT] John Deere help

Ok ,I'm not fond of the green in any form so excuse me for this sounding
really dumb but a co worke asked me about his tractor .I havent seen it
so I'm really lost as to answer . But I did say no to adding oil by
removing the plug at least not right now . I wasnt joking when I said I
dont know about the green .
" I asked about a model ,he said didnt know . Books with it ? , no
. He bought a JD with two blades and a log splitter . At first it ran
good ,but now it barely moves on level ground . He asked if you had to
add oil to the transmission , saying there was a plug next to the handle
that makes it go . "
Words of wisdom ? I did find a web site with a photo and a
diagram of the clutch and directions on how to adjust it . Also a
picture of the operators platform for a JD B with hand clutch
. I said I would ask a couple guys . I would guess maybe the
clutch needs adjusted ,if its not worn out . Well I go back on monday
so maybe I can get a little more info and maybe get directions on how to
get to his place and look at it . Ivan
