[AT] Waay OT

I don't know any details on it. It's about 20 miles from me but not worth
the gas or waste of the owners time
to go look at it because I don't need it and really can't afford it right
now. It would make a fine utility truck for
a farm though!

That is a nice looking truck. There is a lot of extras on those old
DOT trucks.
I have a 94 model 4700 IHC single cab with a 5 yd bed. It is an old
OK DOT truck. It will run 57 mph Downhill with a 60mph tailwind!!!
It also will pull 8 1/2 yds of wet shale out of the soft pit and up a
30deg slope!!! The paint is great, but the floorboard is shot. I have
got most of that repaired. I used a horse stall mat from TSC for the
floormat. It really deadens the road noise. The engine is a little 366
6cyl diesel. They spec these with a little engine and the heaviest
trans and rear end they can find so they can push a snow blade. The
front mounted hyd pump is connected to a 5 section electric hyd valve
that is inside a 50 gallon hyd tank. This is to run the salt spreader
that sliides in the back. The hydraulics alone cost almost as much as
the truck..... I gave $4500 for the truck 2 years ago. It was really
too much, but with all the hydraulics, I can run my hydraulic bale
trailer and not have to worry about brakes. Truck has 4 wheel disc
brakes. It is just slow, not bad on fuel, just slow, and will out pull
anything I have but the LTL 9000. I also have 3 snow blades and 4 salt
spreaders for it. I was going to convert the spreader to spread chicken
manure on the fields.....
