The "normal" belt on the 1000 series is a common poly fractional belt. 
MTD upgraded the belt on the larger ones because the belts would start 
slipping and burn up from the higher HP engines. It wouldn't surprise me 
if parts houses don't stock the poly belt. The kevlar is only 3-4 bucks 
more and they hold up a lot better.

You're welcome on the FSM, they help out sometimes.
