Mike, I have an account with Proxibid and use it every month or so at a
relatively local auction. The major issue I needed to ascertain before I
used them was to see if I needed to attend to the auction while it was in
process. Nope: you can put in your max bid and it will only be ratcheted up
if you have a contesting bidder.
I find the software to be a little klunky, I'd lose my customers if I wrote
software that way, but it's certainly usable. It sure is nice not to have
to go stand around all day. Of course, I'm a little vulnerable not getting
to see the items in person, and I miss my brat with kraut from the
chuckwagon. But the system itself has worked well for me.

Hi All, there's a large consignment auction about 1-1/2 hr from me that has
a few items I would like to bid on. These are new items so inspecting them
beforehand isn't as much of an issue for me. They use the Proxibid system, I
was wonderig if anyone has used that, and if so, how does it work? If I
don't need to burn the fuel to get there in person it would be nice.
Thanks,
Mike M
