Right, Chad.  I had forgotten they were called that in West Virginia.  I spent as much time living there as I did in Oklahoma.

Hi Larry,
Growing up in WV I would hear them referred to as "tin whistle". Dad picked the term up working for the highways division until he got into the natural gas business....

OK, Cecil, this thread brings back old memories from my time spent living in Oklahoma.  I now have a question for the group.  In Oklahoma, driveway culverts are known as "whistles".  I grew up in Indiana, and never heard them called that until I lived out along I-35.  What are they called in other regions of the country?
