[AJD] 2 cyl diesel won't start

[Michael]

I never worked on one of the 2-cylinder JD Diesels. Is it possible that the 
injector pump is installed out of time? Timing is crucial to a Diesel as 
well as to spark-ignited engines. Putting the tractor into the highest 
forward gear and pulling it on a paved road should answer questions about 
cranking speed concerns.
I do not agree about old Diesel fuel. I am using Diesel fuel that is 20 
years old and it works fine. 5 micron filter right where the hose leaves the 
tank.
