[AT] Trying to come up with a fair price for an 8n

$5.00/loaded mile here for most loads. I used to go all over to get
equipment and tools because Oklahoma is one of the most desolate areas
for tools and equipment. Everyone here always did things the hard way
or just did nothing. Now, I let a lot of bids just go because it costs
so #%^& much to drive anywhere. I realie we have the lowest fuel
prices anywhere, but they are still way too high. I finally got a
semi after 40 years of trying to get to afford one to haul my stuff.
It not only costs $1.25/mile for fuel, but over $900 per year for farm
truck insurance.

I have become spoiled to cabs on tractors, and am trying to get rid of
the 9 or more that we accumulated over the years and just keep the 4 or
5 with cabs. I should have sold the cabless ones 3 years ago. The
market is shot.

After cutting prairie grass for a solid day with my 4010 and disk mower
without a cab, it took nearly 2 days before I could see , and I am still
scratching 2 weeks later!! Even a cab with the doors open keeps a lot
of the chaff off your neck. I had to remove the roof of my NH TS110
yesterday and clean out the AC evaporator. It has filters at the side
of the cab, and the gaskets had disintegrated and allowed chaff to get
into the system. Now the AC blows like new. My Belarus tractors are
probably the same way, the AC stops when it gets over 90.
