[Farmall] 2" pipe tap

Gentleman,

Here is a trick that works fairly well to "chase threads". In this case it's for a 2" pipe thread. First get yourself a good 2" pipe nipple, maybe about 6" long. 
Now stand the nipple up on your workbench, slide it over to your bench vise, and secure it in the vise. 
Take an angle grinder with an 1/8th inch cut off wheel mounted on it, and lower it onto the top of the nipple, cutting slots down into the threads about an inch or more.
Cut several of these slots, maybe 4 or 5, evenly spaced around the nipple. What you have now created is a 2" pipe chaser. 
This has worked for me and although it might not last as long as a real pipe chaser might, It should last as long as you'll ever need it to. If you find you need another one in the future, just make another one.
