Actually mine has outriggers on the hoe so the whole tractor becomes a 
counter weight.  I never had an issue with that once I got the hoe firmly 
connected
to the tractor.  Without the outriggers (mine are a good 4 to 5 feet behind 
the center line of the rear axle) there is on doubt I'd need lots of front 
end weight.

U need frt end wt.  Lots of it.  Sure beats a shovel.  Not as powerful.  I
used a long for yrs behind m670 mm

I believe I remember reading some negative comments about 3-pt units.
Something about the stress was too much for some tractors.
