Define "narrow band", Charlie. The "path of damage" is nearly 300 miles wide (north to south) and extends from central Indiana all the way to the coast.

Rob it's that way in a narrow streak across WVA and Virginia all the way to
Washington DC. Last I heard DC was without power
and some of the surrounding towns are saying they might be without power for
days. Berkley Co. WVA was hit hard I hear.
We are ok down here in Carolina.

Living in Central Ohio has been pretty challenging the past 24 hours. The
governor has declared a state of emergency due to the wind we had around
5:00 pm Friday. Gusts hit over 80 mph and right now there is over 500,000
people without power and with temps in the 90s it has been trying for a lot
of folks. We are fortunate to have power losing it for a short time but
that's it. We can use rain but not the wind. Generators are flying out the
door and restaurants are packed when they have power. I hope those that were
affected by this are getting better.
Rob
