[AT] DC Case

    John;

You will need the gasket between clutch housing and engine flange. You can
make a new gasket from medium gasket material. Starter has a thick gasket
ring mating to engine flange. Needed to keep oil from leaking at mating
surface. There is no rear main seal in the engine.

    Ring gear can be successfully be reversed. If the back sides of the
teeth seem too blunt, you can grind a small champher on each tooth. Mark the
flywheel where the teeth are bad and when installing the ring gear locate
the bad teeth half way between.

    Good luck with it.

                Gene
