Dean you are probably right if he is going through PayPal. I'm just pretty
darned sure this is a scam and if Richard gets tied up in it the guy is
going to try to out talk him, come up with an excuse and divert him some way
so that he can get to Richards account. It's an old scam that's been around
before and the verbiage in the message gives it away.

Charlie,

My understanding was that he(she) was willing to use a PayPal account and
that it would
take 45 days to have the funds transferred to the sellers bank. The sellers
bank account
number is shielded from the buyer at PayPal. That is one of the real
advantages of PayPal
as long as it is a secure account. Am I missing something?

Dean, I hate to disagree with you but that is exactly what the guy wants.
Give him that reply and he'll immediately ask for the router number for the
account so he
can do an immediate wire transfer. Then he'll clean the account out.

Richard,

Just simply tell the buyer you won't release the tractor for pickup until
the funds are
deposited in your bank account.
