[AT] OT - southern Sweden

It's been less than a week since I got an email from a long-time friend in Sweden who chastised me because I was so close, but didn't come the few degrees farther north to visit on this trip. Ah well. Since there are now three of my grandchildren living in northern Europe, the call for frequent visits is NOT going to get any lighter.

Dean I've been pondering the same trip. Unfortunately I can't really afford
it right now.
Maybe one day. My idea of a perfect vacation trip is a location off the
beaten path.
Most folks go the cities, museums and tourist traps. I prefer the
countryside where I
can see how the real people live and see how they make their living and
enjoy their lives.
Mattias' place looks like the perfect home base for day trips to me.

Mattias, I visited the www.rodjagard.n.nu link at the bottom of one of your
posts, and the cottages look lovely. I also went to a translation website
that told me "Rödja Gård" in English would be "grubbed-up farm." I don't
know if "grubbed-up" is a good translation of the intended meaning, but it
suits me just fine. I've added it to my mental list of vacation trips to
ponder.
I also note on Google Maps that the farm is located well south in Sweden and
close to the sea. Probably just about like being on the Riviera, no? :)
