Tyler,
Michael is looking for a book that was published by the Two-Cylinder Club
that lists the serial numbers of every G ever made, and what day they were
shipped, and to what dealer or branch house they were shipped. Here is
Amazon's page for the Model B:

Hi Michael,
If you are looking for spects, gallons of fuel it held, wheelbase,
etc, Punch John Deere G into google.
There should be a result with tractordata.com in the web address. Go
to that link, and it can give you more than you ever wanted to know.
That is good that your grandfather's two cylinder deere remains in the
family.
I own my Great Grandfather's 1936 JD unstyled A. I take verry good
care of that tractor. I don't care if somebody offered me 1 million
dollars for it, it's not getting sold.
Is the G still in running condition?
Take care, good luck.
