[Farmall] 1940 Farmall B Tires

A 4" rim is better for a 5.00 tire. However, I believe IH just used the 3"
rim for both tire sizes.

You are correct. 3 inches.
Am I correct in saying a 15 - 4.00 would be the best tire for them?
I was looking at one site that said for the 15 - 5.00 tire you need a 4 inch
rim.

The inside face of the flange, where the tire bead seals. I expect you will
find 3 inches.

Where do I measure wheel width?
The very outer flange or the surface that the tire seals to?

Greetings, folks,
I have a 1940 Farmall B with a great wood splitter but the front tires are
car tires.
Will one of you please tell me what size ribbed tires it should have?
It does appear to have original 15" rims on it.

Also, Where is a good place to buy them from?
