[AT] Corn

Very strange storm in Evansville this morning. Constant thunder for over an hour, and almost no rain. We're in one of those areas that shows up on the map as "severe drought". Municipal water coming out of the Ohio river has that telltale odor of stagnation that we used to experience every summer when we lived in Oklahoma. There are places where you can walk across the Wabash and barely get your feet wet. Traveled north to Wisconsin for a tractor show last week, and didn't see corn that was taller than the woven-wire fences until we got to the Dekalb area of northern Illinois.

The drought is the major reason.

So, why is the price of corn for the consumer going up.
Too many people making corn whiskey thereby not enough for roasting ??
