Oh I forgot to say, Congrats on a good find. I've always been fond of those
2 digit number Olivers myself.
They are good workers and make mighty fine parade pieces when they are all
fixed up.

Subject: [AT] More tractors coming home

I have tried really hard to not get too excited about the relative drop in
tractor prices. It's always fun to look, but I have passed up on many over
the past two years as I really don't need any more. That changed this week.
I fell victim to the evils of Craigslist. I saw two tractors, an Oliver 60
and a 66 both for sale by the same owner. The prices were fair, so I had to
go take a look. What I found was a nice 66 with all the sheet metal, good
fenders and original lights. Basically a nice straight original tractor.
It started right up and didn't smoke so I fell in love with it. I then took
at look at the Oliver 60. It was a nice clean tractor, started right up,
good tires, etc. I've wanted a 60 and the 66 was just a bonus. He made me
a fair package deal, $2,300 for the pair, so I pulled the trigger. My wife
was rather understanding, but now I need to find some place to put them
(building material prices have really gone up).

It's taken a few years, but at this point, it seems I can buy them running
for much less than it would cost to fix a non-runner up myself. So anyway,
just thought I'd share.

Enjoy, Joe
