I believe you would all love it until Summer arrived, especially if it was
like last Summer. It can get unbearably hot, like 105° F in the afternoon and
it remains above 95° until well after 10 PM. Some nights it never gets below
90°.
Right now it is very pleasant (except for the humidity) at about 70°.
The storms pretty well missed us yesterday. All we got was some pea to marble
sized hail for about 20 minutes, accompanied by 1/4" of rain. Not much wind to
speak of. Sure glad I wasn't up in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Hope anyone on the list
who lives in that area was spared any damage and thankfully there were no
deaths. Property can be replaced.

Yes, everything in Texas is big but nothing exceeds the size of a Texan's
Ego. (just kidding Texas guys)
The most rabid Texan I ever knew was a fellow North Carolinian. He went to
work for a Texas company.
He lived there for about 2 years and they sent him back to NC to work on a
project for a couple of year.
All he talked about was getting back to Texas even though all his and his
wife's family were here in NC and
about 75 miles from where he was working. He was so crazy about it that he
sent his pregnant wife back to Texas so that his son would be born on Texas
soil. Unfortunately the only time I've spent in Texas was in the terminal
at DFW airport. I hope to get down there to look around some day. I think
I'd love it too.

Yes, I know we had some Texans (Fairchild employees) as neighbour a while
when I was a kid, They used to tell us kids how big everything was in
America and especially Texas. Strawberries like footballs etc. :-)
