Al I really don't know.   I think it had a power unit but it could have been 
PTO.   I'm allowing that this might have been as late as 1960 or so but I 
don't think so because I would have been a lot more mechanically aware of 
the machine by then.  I suspect I was 8 or 9 at the time and that would have 
been '58 or so.  It could have even been prior to that by a few years.    I 
know that there were one or maybe two tractors on the farm to pull it.  The 
biggest tractor Granddaddy had was an IH  H.  At some point my uncle got out 
of the army and bought a Super M.

Sounds about right for an IH.  Did it have a motor or PTO?  If the motor set 
with the radiator facing toward the tractor it was a 52R.
