[Farmall] Need Expert Opinion

The only reason I could think of for putting a resistor in parallel with 
the coil is if the PO was trying to cut the current going to the coil in 
half. That would work, but it would mean that the coil was still seeing 
12V when it was part of the 6V ignition system. And it was a 12V coil.

As far as what I told the NAPA guys, I told them I was converted to 12V 
with the 6V ignition system. They simply said I needed the 6V coil because 
of the ignition system, not because I was 12V. I even tried to make sure 
that I understood what they were saying, but they just kept saying it was 
based on the 6V ignition system and I didn't need the resistor.

Guess it doesn't matter now because Charlie V determined that I have the 
wrong coil.
