John that is why I keep a couple of junk D-14's around.  If all else fails 
I'll take the best parts for 2 or 3 and build up a "new" tractor.  I've been 
wanting to do that for a while now anyway.  It just seems these things 
always happen at the worst times.   I just don't have a lot of extra cash 
these days.

Good luck with the water Charlie. As you may remember we fought it for
almost a year with my 55 combine before we pulled the engine and put in new
O-rings. When we encounter water leaks we pull the pan and lay a sheet of
cardboard underneath and come back the next day and look for the drips. We
also have a small manual tire pump we have adapted to NPT fittings. That way
we can put just a dab of pressure on the system to speed up/verify the
diagnosis.
