[AT] non-reversible auto tires? OT

They have been around for a while. My 2005 camaro has them. They usually are low profile tires with a high speed rating. Sounds like he needs to find another place to purchase his tires. They are to expensive to ruin by putting them on the wrong way.

Enjoy, Joe

Apparently he has a pair of asymmetrical tires. Since I know that it's my
rother, I suspect that he has done something no one is ever supposed to do --
ix symmetrical and asymmetrical tires on the same vehicle. On top of that, he
pparently has a service shop where the technicians can't or don't read.

> OK. What gives? My brother bought a couple new tires for his
car recently. When I rode with him, they rumbled terribly.
When we stopped, I took a look and them and found they are
mounted backwards!!! Just outside the belt line are big raised
letters that say "Do not run with this side out." I have never
noticed that message on any tires before. They are Kelly
radials. What's going on? Are the tires built with asymmetrical
 plies or something?
