Probably why we have a hard time preserving many of our historic 
building here. Only recently a hundred year old school was slated for 
demolition as it needed to be "up to code". At present a group of 
interested parties has starting raising funds to get it done and save 
the building.  One of only two surviving examples of that type of school.
